Kat Hinter is contracted by the BC Responsible and Problem Gambling Program to provide support, information and referral services to BC residents who are experiencing negative affects from gambling.
As an Indigenous person, she also offers outreach gambling support to any Indigenous resident of the province who wishes to speak with an Indigenous service provider.
Services are free of charge for gamblers and people affected by gambling (including loved ones, employees, community members, etc).
Kat Hinter is an Ojibway Metis woman born and raised on the traditional and unceded territory of the Secwepemc people in the Interior of BC where she still lives today. Kat lives in Kamloops and has one adult son who resides there also. Kat has worked in mental health and addictions for over 20 years in both community and within large mainstream organizations.
